An HDPE-versus-PP decision needs an actual component and use brief. A resin abbreviation does not determine the feel, sealing performance or formula compatibility of a finished package.

Specify the part and its function

State whether you are selecting a bottle body, jar, cap or another part. Provide the intended fill, opening or dispensing action and filling conditions. Ask for the proposed grade and process for each alternative.

Compare physical samples

Use the final geometry to review body feel, opening and reclosing, and the intended user action. Check the decorated appearance and label application on the selected surface. Keep the complete assembly consistent with the proposed bill of materials.

Approve the formula combination

Agree compatibility, storage and functional tests with your product team. If a resin or component changes after approval, review which results still apply. Recycled-content versions require their own identified material proposal and evidence.

See HDPE packaging briefs and PP packaging briefs. Send the component requirements to request available options.

Put the specification to work

Prepare a sample request. The tool shows its inputs and limits before you use the result in a project brief.
