Start by identifying the exact assembly
Imagine the decorated bottle is approved, but the quotation names only a family code. If the pump or cap later changes, the photograph may no longer describe what will be supplied. Avoid that gap by giving the approved assembly one complete reference.
Record the body model and suffix, drawing revision, nominal capacity, cap and dispenser references, color, decoration and quantity by version. Where a component comes from a partner supplier, identify it in the same record. Keep the approved sample and its photographs together.
- Name the model variant, not just the family.
- Identify the parts that contact the formula.
- Require written review of any proposed component substitution.
