These names refer to different certification systems or services. Read the current scheme documents and the supplier’s actual certificate before treating them as interchangeable evidence.
Start with the scheme owner
- Textile Exchange provides the Global Recycled Standard and related standards information. Check the applicable scope and current claims requirements.
- ISCC PLUS describes chain-of-custody options including physical segregation, controlled blending and mass balance. Identify which option underlies the proposed claim.
- SCS recycled-content certification describes its certification service. Review the certified product and claim in the actual documentation.
Match evidence to the shipment
Ask for the certified entity and site, covered material or product, validity and the documents accompanying the quoted supply. Clarify whether the claim concerns physically present content or an allocation under the stated chain-of-custody system. Do not rewrite one as the other in your artwork.
Keep the packaging scope clear
A resin supplier’s evidence does not automatically certify the finished decorated assembly. Identify which components and processing steps the claim covers, and ask the responsible certification body about any unresolved scope question.
