Compare minimums for the same finished packaging specification. A headline MOQ may cover an undecorated body while another quote includes a custom color, pump and printed artwork.

Existing-tool orders start at 1,000 pieces. Color or material changes start at 3,000 pieces, and new-tool projects start at 10,000 pieces. Confirm the minimum for each model, component and finish in the quotation; a specialist sourced part can have a different requirement.
Ask every supplier the same questions
Identify whether the minimum is per model, color, artwork version or complete order. Confirm which components and decoration are included, and ask what changes if the quantity is split across several SKUs.
Request current quotes rather than relying on a competitor’s older website figure. A published minimum does not establish the price or lead time for your project.
Balance stock with the launch plan
Map the quoted quantities to your SKU plan and expected replenishment needs. Include samples, filling, shipping and any storage costs in the decision. A smaller first order may suit the plan, but its economics need an actual quotation.
