A color complaint needs a shared reference before a remedy can be discussed. Keep the affected pieces separate and record their order and batch references. Photograph the assembled pack, but retain physical samples for comparison.
Reconstruct the approved specification
Compare the received parts with the approved sample and artwork revision. Identify whether the difference belongs to the body, closure, coating or printed detail. Check that both sides are comparing the same material and finish under the agreed viewing conditions.
Decide what the evidence supports
Record the quantity inspected and how the samples were selected. Agree whether the review uses visual acceptance, an instrumental limit or both. Ask the supplier to investigate the relevant production and component records before deciding on sorting, rework or replacement.
Reworking one part can change the appearance of the assembled set. Approve any proposed corrected sample and schedule impact before work begins. Keep the original complaint, findings and agreed response together.
For Oulete orders, raise quality issues within 15 days of receipt. See quality control and color matching.
Put the specification to work
Estimate a round bottle label panel. The tool shows its inputs and limits before you use the result in a project brief.
